Why families come to me

I spent 30 years teaching special education before moving to the other side of the IEP table. I know how schools think because I sat in those meetings as staff, and now I use that knowledge for families. My paralegal background helps me read IEPs the way districts write them: line by line, with attention to what's missing. I translate the process, prepare parents for meetings, and make sure the plan says what the child needs it to say.
